This afternoon, "J" was out on a couple of appointments. They went well for her, except that they were scheduled pretty close together, requiring quite a rush to get from the first to the second.
Meanwhile, I worked on a rather aggravating project that involved talking to customer service representatives at various banks. That gets its own message though.
This evening, I worked on the sewing project some more. Although J and I had put away the sewing machine to make way for our guests on Saturday, I didn't need to set it up again, because I was pinning a long, curved seam along the edges of the exterior and lining of the project. Both fabrics are somewhat stretchy, but to different degrees, and match the measurements after they're stitched together. It's a long seam, and it took over a hundred pins to hold it together well enough that I feel like it's ready to stitch. After all that, it was too late to bother setting up the machine and actually sewing it. And there are two more curved seams of similar length in that section of the project, though I'll have to measure them with a fitting before I pin them together.
