Whiteout

3 Poor I'm pleased to say that I didn't choose this film. What a stinker. It was as if the writer had never heard the basic rule of film writing: "show, don't tell." I rate it poor. The only reason to see this is that Kate Beckinsale looks pretty good, but I'd rather have watched Cold Comfort Farm again than see this bomb once.

After seeing Ponyo a few nights ago, and discovering that Miyazaki is not a sure thing, I've seen two duds in a row.

Rating: The US rating of "R" is appropriate, for lots of gory violence (and some nudity that I didn't find memorable).

Screening: Friday, 10:10 pm, Beverly Hills (The Grove).
Audience: About 20% full, about 300 seats.

Snacks: expensive dinner before.

I bought the DVD for Whiteout years ago because of Kate and also Alex O'Loughlin (he played the bad guy). Yes. It is terrible. lol
